A Pretty Picture for Sunday - Wheatfield
The opposite end of this field here, taken at the same spot as this photo taken in May last year showing rapeseed in flower, and this photo taken at the beginning of this year, when this crop was just beginning to sprout. The weather has been hot and dry since early June, so I expect the combine harvesters will be here very soon.

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it Laura Jean! I took another walk there this afternoon, making the most of it before the crop is brought in.
DeleteVery interesting to see the different aspects of the same field. Pretty countryside, I must say. I don't know where you are in England, but I have wonderful memories of the Devonshire countryside when I was in your country years back. The beautiful blue sky, white fluffy clouds, and green fields. I have a photo someplace of the scene that is in my head and there was a double rainbow as well. It was just after a summer rain.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely memories, Mary Ellen! You were lucky that you were here in a good summer. Devon is the next county if I head south-west. I am in North Somerset, just outside Bristol.
DeleteWhat a lovely part of the country to live in. This photo is really well-framed - beautiful.
